This course applies to workers in the construction industry. It covers fundamental WHS requirements necessary to undertake work tasks within any sector in the construction industry. It is now a mandatory requirement for all trainers who deliver the White Card Course (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) to hold this particular unit. Through video evidence, students are required to demonstrate the performance of work in a safe manner through awareness of risks and work requirements, and the planning and performance of safe work practices with concern for personal safety and the safety of others. You are also required to perform emergency first aid treatment of minor injuries. Certificates issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.

+ COURSE DELIVERY

This course is delivered exclusively online

+ ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:

Must meet English and LLN requirements. The Training Package clearly states:

Reading – to read and understand forms and to make accurate reports

Writing – to accurately record details of children and young people at risk and to make reports using handwritten skills and computer skills

Communication – to communicate appropriately and effectively with children and young people who disclose sensitive information

+ COURSE DURATION

Self Paced - It is expected students may complete the course within 4.5 hours (depending on experience levels)

This can be completed over a number of sessions. Your course progress will be saved. You will have access to his course for 6 months upon enrolment

+ ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks. These are detailed in the sections following.

+ CERTIFICATE RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS

No industry recommended renewal is identified on the certificate, employers are recommended to consult with stakeholders to identify appropriate training periods.

Performance tasks:

  • Complete a risk assessment and upload a video outlining the hazards identified and the control measures to be implemented

  • Conduct a risk assessment and upload a video to demonstrate safe work practices

  • Provide emergency first aid treatment for a minor injury

    Documentation:

  • Two (2) Risk Assessment forms

  • One (1) Incident Report form

Theory assessment - An exam consisting of multiple-choice and short answer questions. The student must complete all assessment questions.
